Great products just keep appearing in all markets here at the 2014 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Here are a dozen seen yesterday.
mPowerpad 2 Solar Charger and more
This second generation solar panel is so much better and offers so much more than ones I’ve seen in the past. This unit is lighter and slimmer, yet twice as fast to full charge as previous technology. In addition, it has a removable power pack that can be taken with you while the base unit continues to charge its own separate power pack. Various models will be available that add reading lights, flashlight, flashing SOS beacon, FM radio and/or ultrasonic insect repellant. Available in the US in March.
If it’s long battery life that interests you, Fugoo is your brand. 40 hours is the expected play time on one charge for this bad boy. Two tweeters, two woofers and 2 passive radiators make for some really dynamic sound. Oh, and its waterproof. Comes with interchangeable jackets.
Ever want to track yourself with a video camera as you surf the curl, schuss down a mountain or do barrel-rolls with your mountain bike? Now Soloshot2 enables that – up to 2,000 feet away. Mount your camera on the Soloshot and take the controller with you. With the camera set up, you can remotely start and stop the recording and it will track your every move.
Sony 4K Camcorder FDR-AX100
Shoot pictures like only Hollywood used to be able to shoot. Now with a 1” back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor, your pictures will be absolutely amazing even in low light. Shoot in 4K or HD or both at the same time. Available in March 2014 for under $2,000.
If you were one of those to get the new Gold iPhone, you’ll certainly want to consider the elegant white and gold Metallon Zinc earphones from Gavio. With a flat, non-tangling cord, these look as good as they sound.

TechSlinger holster for your tech
Detectives wear concealed-carry holsters for their guns. Now you can do the same for your tech gadgets. TechSlinger will conceal a tablet, your phone, battery pack, wallet, accessories, cords and more. Available in single or double holster models in a variety of materials. Never again worry about where you left your tablet.
For the biggest sound in a pocketable speaker, you’ve gotta see Boomphones. Better yet, get two and pair both of them via Bluetooth for true stereo. Real 360 degree sound with speakers facing front and rear. Eight hours play time on the rechargeable battery.
GoKart video suspension for your camera
Looking to take your videos to the next level, but can’t afford or don’t want to carry a big dolly into the field. Now, one man can simulate those dolly moves with this simple cable supported camera transport system. Both gravity and motorized systems are available for large and small cameras.
Rabbit TV Plus
Rabbit TV is the world’s largest content management engine for locating and indexing freely-available, full-length video on the Internet with over 250,000 sources available. Presently available for sale as a dongle, in April the new Plus service will be strictly web-based and still only costs $10.00/year.
Capture a 360 degree view all at once as either a stationery camera during a party or mounted to your helmet as you dash down a mountain path. This lightweight camera is small and easily mounted. The viewer of your video can then spin it in any direction to see everything you saw (and more). It’s also waterproof up to 5 ATM and works with either iOS or Android apps for easy sharing. Coming later in 2014.
Sometimes you want a strap to secure your camera. Sometimes you want your camera on a tripod. Now you don’t have to choose. With Joby’s new strap, the Arca compatible tripod clip is integrated so you can quickly go from one to the other. Works with other quick-release tripod heads as well.
Now easily transfer files, music and photos from your Android device to your laptop and back again with this new introduction from Imation. When you aren’t transferring files, the USB connector folds inside. Coming Q1 of 2014 in sizes 16, 32 & 64GB.
