Twitter war: Kris Humphries jab met with swift J.R. Smith response (Video)

The rivalry on the court between the New York Knicks and the Brooklyn Nets shifted to Twitter after Monday's close game. Kris Humphries' jab at the Knicks didn't sit well with J.R. Smith, and Smith didn't hesitate to toss a barb back that got people buzzing. The New York Post shared the details on Jan. 22.

Monday Kris Humphries tweeted “Big game tonight! The Garden got really quiet on the way out! #Brooklyn.” It looks like J.R. Smith wasn't about to let that one go without comment, as he then tweeted, “Wasnt [sic] quiet when Kanye tore it down last month!” as he included Humphries' original tweet. Smith's Kris Humphries jab resonated with followers, as it has been retweeted nearly 54,000 times and favorited over 20,000 times.

Of course anybody who knows anything about Kris Humphries knows the Smith tweet was a jab at the fact that Humphries' ex-wife Kim Kardashian is now with rapper Kanye West, and the two are expecting their first child together. Kris Humphries has been dragging out his divorce with Kim Kardashian, as the Brooklyn Nets basketball player says he wants an annulment rather than a divorce. He seems to be taking great pleasure in preventing Kim from moving on from their 72-day marrage.

Which basketball player do you think came out on top in this one? Humphries didn't reply to Smith's tweet, and hasn't posted since. Given that Kris Humphries' jab toward the Knicks only got 1,200 retweets and 439 favorites, it seems safe to say J.R. Smith won this round.
