Twitter used for 911 emergency
Twitter was used for a 911 emergency by an Atlanta councilman.
Kwanza Hall witnessed a women in need of emergency service and did not call 911, but he also used Twitter to tweet
“Need a paramedic on corner of John Wesley Dobbs and Jackson st. Woman on the ground unconscious. Pls ReTweet,”
Hall tweeted rather than calling because his battery was low and he was afraid of losing contact.
Hall isn't crediting the Twitter community with getting emergency services there 11 minutes later, but he isn't saying they didn't help.
Several of Hall's followers called 911, and there were other people witnessing the emergency.
