Twitter launches new layout: People are not too pleased with new look

Twitter didn’t warn users before rolling out a massive update yesterday that completely changed the way Twitter looks on portable device, including iPhones and Android devices. Users have mixed reactions to the new look, but Twitter did offer some new features with the update. According to a new Mashable report published on Dec. 11, Twitter’s new update does have some new features other than the net look.

In a new video called “First to Know” from Mashable, Twitter’s new features were highlighted. In its latest app update for iOS and Android, users may notice the ability to send and receive photos within DMs. In addition, the layout is much different since users can swipe the screens to see your timeline, your notifications, your messages and your profile.

In other words, you can access your direct messages directly from the homepage. Users can also send pictures as attachments. But it sounds like the new look isn’t something people are accepting well. “Yeahh I dont like the way my Twitter update looks -_-,” “This twitter update is trash” and “Why did they have to update Twitter...” were some of the reactions on Twitter after the update went live.

What do you think of the update?
