“Twitch The Ripper” is a New Haven based Duo featuring a mix of Synth, House and Ambient genres. The duo is comprised of Jon Dobyns (vocals/programming) and Lonn Bologna (programming/synth/drums). Having an impressive resume’ of opening spots, the duo is now out on their first U.S. national tour in support of “My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult” on the “Sinister Whisperz Tour.” The band has cited a large variety of influences that include Bjork, Kraftwerk and Depeche Mode. Along with vocals that have been compared to Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails circa their album "Pretty Hate Machine."
The band has recently released their debut full length “Bodiless” which was mastered by Emily Lazar (Vampire Weekend and Depeche Mode) and mixed by grammy winning Phil Magnotti. Bodiless features a melding pot of several different genres and is something that fans from a variety of areas will be able to get into and enjoy. Featuring a mix of House, Synth, Industrial, and Ambient Rock. This unique blend is not something that many bands out there would attempt but not only do these guys attempt it they absolutely own it. The flow of this album is guaranteed to be unlike anything else in your collection, and through that mix of genres the raw mix of emotions are portrayed like a painting. The subtle delivery of the lyrics does not take away from the strength of the emotion.
TTR will be heading back out on the road on June 17th in Detroit, Michigan at the Token Lounge. This tour is a great opportunity to get out and discover some new music. The remaining dates will feature TTR, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult and 16 volt. You can find a complete listing of tour dates here.
