Chief operating officer at Twitch, Kevin Lin, had this to say via a press release:
"Given the excitement surrounding Microsoft and Sony's upcoming video game consoles, Twitch will be in a lot of living rooms this holiday season"
"Their intuitive and accessible integration of Twitch removes the barriers to entry which casual broadcasters currently face, so we expect traffic numbers to soar when these consoles launch."
This is huge for Twitch, as this investment in the future will further the services stability, ease of use and feature set for the coming years. With the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One being launch in just a few months, it could not have come at a better time.
