First and foremost, the administration apologies for delay in reviewing our week as your coach was manning the dugout at St-Charles park during the Dorval tournament.

Congratulations to Katie Allaire, and Nancy Purdon in representing The Diamond Divas and The Royals who were both instrumental in helping their teams win their respective divisions. Let’s throw kisses all around to Tracey Tierney and Ines Luis for their dedication to The Red Sox.

Our lone game of the week came against Yazoo on Friday August 15.
The top of our lineup, comprised of Sylvie, Purdon, Katie, and Rozon carried the squad. They combined to go 12/16, eight singles, three doubles, a triple, 10 runs scored, and six batted in. Lovey produced two hits from the 10 spot, as we slashed 16 hits.

Our defense played its accustomed role of excellence, as we allowed 14 hits, with hitters 5-9 going a combined 8/22, all singles. Far more impressive was the infield accounted for 19 putouts with the outfield registering outs in the 2nd and 4th innings.
That type of containment allowed the spirit to shine through in a well executed game.
Salut! Bonjour! Elvis has left the building!

Rockets win 11-6
Game time: 1h13m

Coach’s corner
A huge thank-you to Christiane, and Super Fan, Bob for combining on a sweet spread after the game. That smoked meat felt like I was on vacation!

The road ahead has us in action tomorrow evening with an early start. Gina is in DA HOUSE, and remember it is picture day. Lisa Garfinkle will be on hand to take team pictures.

It is amazing how time flies as we are heading tour last week of regular season play. I am in need of your choice for Girlfriend of The Year. Please email me your pick by next week.

I encourage you to keep your social calendars close to your heart, as playoffs are approaching and schedule not set as of yet!
Til we meet again! (How about tomorrow?)

Have fun, stay young, drink lots of beer, and speak highly of me!
