Twin girls are a chore, believe me...
Children I feel for the most part, aren't the best at keeping secrets. So when you've got twin girls who are obviously the same age, you are constantly getting more information than you need! Surprises are hard not to spoil; movies are a great example of this - forget about trying to watch something for the first time that they've already seen, need to just better line that up.
Another great example is a game we play called Headbandz, where a headband that you wear has a card inserted into it & you need to ask yes or no questions to get closer to guessing what your card is, because you can't see. I play this with my twin girls. They are more concerned with helping the others get to the answer quickly, essentially losing by giving more information than they need to! They enjoy this! I explain that this is not the point, that each player only gets to ask one question for each other player that there is, take a shot at guessing, or not & it's the next players' turn. Nothing doing.
Whether pertaining to friends, school, weekends with family - nothing is exempt. All I need to do is ask a general question, about a general circumstance & I get a detailed answer. With little twin girls, I hope this habit lasts a long, long time!!
