'Twin Peaks' cast and crew reunite for 'Missing Pieces' screening

July 16th, 2014 marked a significant event for fans of cherry pie..and murder. The cast and crew of cult classic series 'Twin Peaks' reunited for a red carpet (zig zag pattern unconfirmed) event at Silver Lake’s Vista Theater in Los Angeles.

They weren't there strictly to socialize; the event on hand was a screening of 'The Missing Pieces': 90 minutes of unseen footage from David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me', the theatrical release which complimented the quirky murder mystery that aired on the ABC network from 1990-1991.

All the footage will be included in the upcoming Blu-ray box set 'Twin Peaks: The Entire Mystery', which contains both 'Fire Walk With Me' along with both seasons of the series along with special features and extras.

Lynch was on hand for the event, kicking off the screening in his typical oddball style; “Tonight I would like to speak about wood. Much happiness can be had from observing a tree.”

In addition to Lynch, a large portion of the original cast were on hand for the festivities, including Sheryl Lee, Ray Wise, Grace Zabriskie, Catherine Coulson, James Marshall, Peggy Lipton, Madchen Amick and Miguel Ferrer.

Speaking to Variety.com, Coulson (aka 'The Log Lady) stated “The show has been very good to me. Now a whole new generation is into it.” Wise added, “It was one of the great experiences of my life."

There was an after-party which catered coffee, cherry pie and donuts, of course, and which marked an appearance by cast member Russ Tamblyn (accompanied by his daughter, actress Amber Tamblyn).

Starpulse detailed much of the unearthed footage, which includes more screen-time with David Bowie, more extensive scenes with Wise and Zabriskie, and an extended scene which gives more insight and closure to the baffling series finale.

'Twin Peaks' diehards can see all the extra goodies for themselves when the box set hits retailers on July 29, 2014.
