Twin Forks Back Again

See also

Someone could quickly write off Twin Forks as another band jumping on the folk rock bandwagon. That someone would be wrong. Their rhythms are infectious and the lyrics ring true while still being incredible catchy. But perhaps what makes them stand out from the pack more than anything else is the raw energy they bring to every performance. There was certainly an unbeatable energy in room when they played the small Pub Rock in Scottsdale last October. They hadn't yet released their spectacular debut full length and most of the audience hadn't heard many (or any) songs before. But when they took the stage, led by former emo heartthrob Chris Carrabba, they owned the room with singalongs, banter, and just plain folk charm. If Carrabba's former band, Dashboard Confessional, was about heartbreak than Twin Forks seems to be about triumph of the spirit. At the very least it is a celebration of what life brings your way and that was evident in their performance.
You will not want to miss their return this Friday, April 25th at The Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix as they open for Augustana. This may be your chance to catch on to what's happening before the whole world catches on. It is almost certain their next tour will see them headlining in bigger rooms.
