The Twin Cities Collector Car Show and Swap Meet met with a beautiful, sunny day. Past car shows at Aquatore Park were centered in one of the baseball fields on the western edge. The new setting not only provides better scenery, but the trees block some of the sun directly overhead. Having the show closer to Hwy 65 also allows for more visibility, which helps for a better turnout for both cars and spectators.
The event was hosted by the North Central Chapter of Hudson, Essex, and Terraplane Club. A decent showing of these cars were represented, along with plenty other street cruisers, rat rods, and muscle cars.
There were numerous vendors and swappers, which seems to be the trend with this location. Year after year, more sellers continue to sign up, a good thing in our book. There was a variety of vintage speed parts present and waiting for new homes, including some seats and carbs.
Several food trucks were also on-site for something tasty to eat.
Labor Day is here, signaling that summer is winding down. As fall approaches, these are the last few nice weeks remaining for Car Season. Get out a drive!
