For the past couple of years, teens, young adults, and grown folk have been going crazy for Twilight. That is precisely why Taylor Lautner's suit against an Irvine RV dealer made local headlines. Sad, yes, but still true.
The law suit is against McMahon RV, which is located in Irvine. Lautner, who plays Jacob Black, the werewolf in the Twilight flicks, arranged for the $300,000 coach to be delivered in late June, prior to filming his new film, Abduction . Unfortunately, the coach was not delivered on time and Lautner filed suit. The owner of the dealership, Brent McMahon will pay the 18 year old star $40,000. Launter will donate the funds to Lollipop Theater Network.
The Prompt
What can a poet write about this particularly senseless new article? Plenty, I say. Here are just a few ideas: the mindlessness of the media, attention seeking behavior (your own or others), wealth and excess, vampires, werewolves, tweens, stardom, etc. The possibilities are endless.
Write, write, write!
