Jackson Rathbone, who plays Jasper in The Twilight Saga, is the latest to have a video from Nylon Magazine on Nylon TV, which was posted earlier today.
In the two-minute clip, we hear a Texas accent spill out of the actor, who hails from what seems to be a fairly prominent oil family. (His great-grandfather was Chairman of Standard Oil, which is now Exxon. His father worked for Mobil Oil.) The juxtaposition between his gentle Southern twang and the Brooklyn rooftops works for Jackson, who seems to be something of a Renaissance man.
He's in a band called 100 Monkeys, where he plays guitar, drums, bass, keyboard, trumpet, mandolin, and harmonica. (Not all at one, presumably.) He talks about his art with black and white photographs and about being colorblind, and he shows off his "Mom" and "Dad" tattoos. And if you've ever wondered about some of his slightly outrageous red carpet oufits, he explains:
I've always wanted to wear a top hat and do the whole cane (thing) ... I want to be Willy Wonka on the red carpet. But my reps don't really want me to do that.

With the slicked back hair, I would never have guessed this is the guy who plays Jasper.
Please go see The Last Airbender, the dialogue is not great but Jackson is beautiful. My daughter couldn't believe that he played Jasper as well. His eyes and hair are incredible in this movie.He has Robert beat hands down.
