Although fans would generally jump at the chance to watch a documentary on Robert Pattinson the star of the Twilight Saga and the upcoming film 'New Moon', fans feel that there is something exploitive in 'Robsessed'. Pattinson fans are urging one another to boycott the documentary.
According to Gossip Cop, the controversy all started when numerous supporters of RobsessedPattinson.com told the site about (Revolver, the company that acquired the rights to the project), had used content from their website to market their DVD.
Revolver had said the following in regard to the controversy the film is inciting among fans:
1. We find the unauthorized and often invasive exploitation of stars for profit to be heinous, especially when, as in this case, those stars have been particularly scarred by interactions with the media.
2. We’re very encouraged to see fans stand up to shameless profiteering, especially when the offending party has wronged not only the celebrity, but also the fans who put time and effort into content without intending to make a dollar from it.
3. From what we can TELL, the first two points apply to today’s events. But we want to be very careful about assigning blame without cause. So if we’re missing some key information, please let us know. We would love to hear Revolver’s side of the story, if there is one.

I had no idea that was the case! Now that I know, I think I'll definitely boycott it.
I think making a documentary on rpatz is ttly ridiculous! I am a HUGE fan of him and would hate to see any more harm come to ANY of the stars of twilight due to exploitation. They are all Stalked by the media! I think we should not put them under pressure, and chance failing to make the movies as good as possible.
Why not call it what it is...... A stalker documentary with Rob as the victim! Leave him alone.
