The countdown has begun for the highly anticipated release of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 on DVD and Blu-ray. Be the first to get your copy and watch the fourth installment of Stephenie Meyer's The Twilight Saga all over again with Bella, Edward and Jacob. Make sure to check out all the special features and more store exclusives before you head out.
New Yorkers have a few choices of where to go this year:
Best Buy at Union Square will be open all night so feel free to hang out with fellow Twifans until midnight to pick up your copy and perhaps even grab the Best Buy exclusive SteelBook. Since the store will be open 24 hours, stop by anytime Saturday until 10pm.
Select FYE stores will be open until 1am and will be playing The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 all day long on Friday, February 10, 2012. When you purchase The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 on DVD or Blu-ray, you can get a collectible framed wedding photo of Edward and Bella for only $1.79 extra. FYE is also offering a $7 mail-in rebate for the DVD and Blu-ray. Additionally, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 merchandise will be 50% off regular price (excludes CDs, DVDs & Blu-ray).
Several Target stores will be open until 1am just for Twifans. Tickets for the DVD and Blu-ray will be available at Guest Services starting at 9pm on Friday, February 10, 2012. Beginning at 11pm, Target will show a sneak peek of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2. Target will also have some exclusive The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 merchandise for sale including a Limited Edition Gift Set on DVD and Blu-ray (online only) with an authentic prop flower keepsake and certificate of authenticity, Jacob or Edward women's tee and iPad case. There are also several Target exclusives available only online including a water bottle, charm bracelet, double necklace, Bella's wedding and engagement ring set and fleece blanket.
Although there no Walmart locations in the city, you can always trek out across the river to New Jersey. Starting at 10pm on Friday, February 10, 2012, Walmart will throw the ultimate Twilight party. There will be special giveaways, movie trivia and a bakery stocked with Twilight-themed treats such as cupcakes and cakes. Twifans can also catch a cameo appearance from Rosalie Cullen (actress Nikki Reed) on Walmart's in-store television network while waiting for the midnight unveil. Walmart stores will have the exclusive Bella's Wedding Dress Edition available on DVD and Blu-ray. The exclusive features a collectible wedding dress packaging with a 30” x 40” wedding photo fabric poster and music videos from Bruno Mars, Christina Perri and more.
