Twenty-seven year old Kellan Lutz and 25-year-old Ashley Greene are going back to high school again, but this time it is not in Forks. Lutz is starring in the GMC (Gospel Music Chanel) world television premiere movie "A Warrior’s Heart," a dramatic film about a hot-headed high-school lacrosse player who eventually learns the true meaning of maturity, sportsmanship and manhood.
Lutz, who rose to fame as part of the Twilight franchise, headlines with fellow Twilight star Greene along with Chris Potter (“Heartland," Gabrielle Anwar (“Burn Notice”) and Chord Overstreet (“Glee”). "A Warrior’s Heart" premieres exclusively on GMC TV on Sunday, January 27th at 7, 9 and 11 p.m. ET.
Lutz plays teenager Conor Sullivan (Kellan Lutz), a self-centered lacrosse player father (Chris Potter), a Marine-officer, puts him in a private school with an outstanding lacrosse program. When his father is called back to serve and gets killed in Iraq, Conor becomes angry both on and off the field. His behavior gets him kicked off the team.
But a former Marine comrade of his father, Sgt. Major Duke Wayne (Adam Beach), knows a lot about lacrosse and about discipline and works to help Conor control his anger and discover the warrior within himself.
