Metropolis Performing Arts Centre has announced that hey will present a spoof of Twilight, the hit vampire series, in a September 14, 2010 press release. The Twilight series parody premieres on Saturday, October 2, 2010. Metropolis is located in Arlington Heights, in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois.
The team that brought us Speed Dating the Musical and Dates from Hell at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre will bite into the ever-so-popular Twilight series in After Dusk But Before Daylight: A Parody of a Very Famous Vampire Series. Opening on Saturday, October 2, 2010, it’s the latest in the uproarious and wildly popular After Dark Comedy Series.
The wildly popular Twilight series has blown up the media and created an international phenomenon for teens, tweens, and adult women lusting after hot young vampires. The hilarious Metropolis cast will improv their way through all topics of interest including vampires, werewolves, and brooding young people. Audience members will even have the opportunity to make suggestions and watch their ideas come to life before their very eyes! No show will be the same, so the fun never ends. This show contains adult content and language and is not recommended for children or young teens.
After Dark But Before Daylight: A Parody of a Very Famous Vampire Series runs Saturdays at Metropolis October 2-November 13, 2010 at 10 P.M. After Dark But Before Daylight: A Parody of a Very Famous Vampire Series is directed by Scott Woldman. Designers are William A. Franz (Resident Sound Designer), Lisa Hale (Costume Designer), Holly Marshall (Properties Designer), Eamonn McDonagh (Technical Director/Scenic Designer) and Michael Wagner (Lighting Designer). Robin M. Hughes is the Artistic Director/Director of Production; the Executive Director of Metropolis is Jim Jarvis.
After Dusk But Before Daylight: A Parody of a Very Famous Vampire Series is part of the Comedy Series at Metropolis, a series that brings hilarious, biting social satire, silly, surprising, and smart comedies to the northwest suburbs.
