‘Twilight’ finale takes home seven Razzie Awards

While it wasn’t a clean sweep for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” the vampire finale did manage to take home seven of its 11 nominations at the Razzie Awards, which was held on Feb. 23.

The day before the Oscars are announced, the Razzies “honor” the worst films of 2012. None of the “Twilight” films have “won” until this year.

“Breaking Dawn – Part 2” took home Worst Picture, Worst Director and Worst Screen Ensemble, to name a few. A press release from the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation labeled it another sweep, but “this one was incomplete.” Last year, “Jack & Jill” took home all 10 categories at the awards show.

Adam Sandler didn’t escape the Razzies’ eye this year. The 46-year-old actor “won” for Worst Actor for his role in “That’s My Boy.” The film also took home the award for Worst Screenplay.

Rihanna’s debut cinematic performance in “Battleship” took home a Golden Raspberry this year as well. According to the press release, Razzie voters chose the pop singer “by a landslide” for the Worst Supporting Actress category.
