Robert Pattinson vs. Edward Cullen? Sort of. But they are BOTH hunks according to USA Weekend. In Pattinson's new interview, the star of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' talks about the upcoming film as well as what it is like to be called Edward - the fascination that the fans have with his character.
Robert Pattinson isn't sure why girls chase him in the manner that they do, but he reveals, "You turn around, and there would be a line of girls standing there." He continues, "I'm not entirely sure what it is," he says. "I'll probably realize afterward how I could have controlled it a little bit more. But I am still like a deer in headlights." He goes on to discuss the fact that many of his fans find it difficult to separate Robert Pattinson the individual from Edward Cullen - the vampire from Twilight. He says, "Right at the beginning, everyone just called me Edward. I don't really mind either way. There's something about that character that, for some reason, has sparked an interest in massive degrees in so many different people." He adds, "If you want to compete with your own character, you have to really fight. I don't know if I could be bothered to fight. I just let it go by."
