Twerking it out with Robin Thicke at the Video Music Awards on August 26, Miley Cyrus bared a body that's noticeably slimmer. In fact, she's lost so much weight that MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski accused Miley of having an eating disorder in this statement on August 26:

I think that was really, really disturbing. That young lady, who is 20, is obviously deeply troubled, deeply disturbed, clearly has confidence issues, probably an eating disorder and I don’t think anybody should have put her on stage.

Ironically, Mika herself has admitted that she is suffering from a food addiction and is obsessed with obesity. She's even authored a book about it: "Obsessed: America's Food Addiction--and My Own."

The reason for Miley's weight loss: “Her diet and exercise regime has become like a religion – it’s what’s getting her through one of the more stressful times of her life,” an inside source revealed to British magazine Heat. “But she can’t carry on this way. People are scared she’ll make herself ill.”

Mika's remark about an eating disorder is not the first such comment directed at Miley. "For everyone calling me anorexic I have a gluten and lactose allergy. It's not about weight it's about health. Gluten is cr*pppp anyway!" Miley tweeted at one point to defend her weight loss.

Belfast Telegraph reports that Miley currently eats only egg white omelets, raw vegetables and fruit. She runs five miles three times a week and also trains two hours daily in the gym.

However, her celebrity Pilates instructor Mari Winsor previously defended Miley in People magazine: "I think people need to chill out. She's healthy and she feels good, that's the main thing."

Creator of popular Pilates DVD such as "Lower Body Pilates" and "Flat Abs Pilates," Mari added, "She's smart about her body. She wanted to sculpt her body, that's all."
