The main topic of discussion was "The Personal Devotional Life: Seeking Him Daily."
God wants us to check in with Him daily. We can do so by using spiritual disciplines such as praying, praising, meditating, fasting, Bible Study, or journaling.
Through journaling, we can share our innermost thoughts with God and listen for Him to speak to us.
After discussing journaling and the benefits of writing down our thoughts, the facilitator, Rev. Margaret Minnicks gifted each participant with a journal so individuals could have a personal devotional life by journaling to God.
After the discussion was over for this lesson, participants shared what they have learned from the entire "Seeking Him" Bible Study from beginning to end.
Participants opened envelopes that have been sealed and prayed over since the first session on July 18. Participants had written a prayer request to God in reference to what they wanted Him to do for them by the end of this series. Everyone shared how God had definitely helped them with their particular issue.
To celebrate the ending of the "Seeking Him" Bible Study, the entire group shared in a period of fellowshipping and enjoying lunch together.
We believe God was pleased with what took place during all 12 sessions of "Seeking Him: Experiencing the Joy of Personal Revival."
See the photos of the "Seeking Him" celebration where everyone pitched in and brought a dish to be shared.
The next Thursday morning Bible Study takes place from October 10 to December 19 where the study will be "Seeking Him: The Journey Continues."
