Here we are, the night before the premier of Season 6 of LOST. It’s go-time, people, but I’m not sure I’m ready. What? Did I just say that? After all the hours invested in this crazy show? I know I should be doing cartwheels that LOST is back and answers are ahead, but right now I’m mostly sad that it’s all coming to an end.
I will be satisfied if they give us a challenging final season and there is payoff on the horizon. Doing it right will make the ending that much more bittersweet, but I am still hoping they do it right and satisfy fans who have watched from the beginning.
Now Darlton has held pretty true to their claim of “no new footage” … until now. If you watch closely, you’ll notice that the following promo sneaks in a clip of Claire in the final season. Perhaps they thought that if the scenes went by fast enough, we wouldn’t notice (who are they kidding)? Perhaps Claire has been gone so long that they didn’t have a humdinger of a shot of her to use in the spot? Or perhaps they planted that gorgeous Easter Egg as a gift to those of us who have been salivating for just such a morsel?
"You're definitely going to get some answers to alot of big questions -- more questions to answer as well," said actress Emilie de Ravin who portrays Claire.
Ah Claire, we hardly knew ye. I still contend that Miss Littleton perished in the barracks explosion. For my money, there’s just no way she could have come out of that without a scratch. Didn’t Miles then make some sarcastic comment to her about how long she had to live? And then for her to leave her infant son alone in the middle of the jungle? She was so aloof when we later saw her in Jacob’s cabin – no concern for the LOSTies or for Aaron. Could the Man in Black have used her to get closer to Locke? That’s just my theory.
So it’s the night before LOSTmas, the biggest LOST event of the season (other than the series finale for which I cannot decide if it’s better to have a party with wine, cheese, and other LOST-oholics … or to insist on a quiet night in front of the TV with hubby where we pore over each mind-blowing detail for the last time). With the beach premier behind us, and the first four minutes of LA X released on the internet, I guess ABC figured it was safe to give us a little taste of tomorrow’s big show. Here’s the latest promo (WITH NEW FOOTAGE):
“The time for questions is over.”
Okay, now I’m excited.

Your opinion counts: How will Jughead change things for Claire and the rest of Oceanic 815? Why did Charlie leave his Drive Shaft ring in Aaron’s crib and will we see it again?

Wow - great video. Like you, I was ambiguous; hate to see it end, but now that I've seen new footage, very excited to see more! Thanks for sharing that.
PS: Small nitpick - the phrase to describe minutely examining something is "pore over," not "pour over." (It's a common misspelling, so don't feel bad!)
That's what I get for posting at midnight! Thanks for the catch, Lisa.
