The entire Internet is buzzing tonight with hundreds of celebrity nude photos that have been leaked, reportedly from a hacker who accessed the stars' iCloud accounts. Those impacted include several big name television actresses, like Kaley Cuoco and Aubrey Plaza.
An anonymous posted sets of images on 4chan earlier today, and the pictures quickly spread across social media sites. But are any of the photos real? Several celebrities, like Ariana Grande, claim the pictures are not authentic. Others, like Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence, have confirmed that their photos are the real deal.
Lawrence, best known for starring in "The Hunger Games" trilogy, actually got her start in showbiz on "The Bill Engvall Show" where she played the star's teenage daughter.
Other actresses with TV backgrounds were also targeted in the privacy breach. Aubrey Plaza, who plays April Ludgate in the off-beat "Parks and Recreation" on NBC, is on the list of those exposed. As is Lea Michele, who stars on "Glee" as the character Rachel Berry. Other celebs caught in the nude leak include: Disney Channel starlets Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens, former Nickelodeon regular Victoria Justice, Kaley Cuoco of "The Big Bang Theory" on CBS, and Amber Heard of "Friday Night Lights" fame.
Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton leaped onto the pile, initially posting many of the uncensored nude images on his website. Later he replaced them with censored versions, and eventually pulled the photos altogether.
"I acted in haste just to get the post up and didn't really think things through. I'm sorry," Perez said. "Upon further reflection and just sitting with my actions, I don't feel comfortable even keeping the censored photos up. I am removing them."
