TV ratings: 'Shark Tank,' 'Blue Bloods' win night; 'Fringe' at series low

For the second straight Friday in February sweeps, we really started to receive a clear impression of just how all of the shows are doing, and some networks are certainly going to be more secure with their future than others.

  • ABC has to be happy with their non-scripted lineup, and should consider putting both "Shark Tank" (which tied "Blue Bloods" as the top English-language show on the night with a 1.8 in the 18-49 demographic) and "Primetime: What Would You Do?" on year-round.
  • NBC saw "Grimm" bounce back this week to a 1.6 rating, and thanks to some strong DVR numbers (in addition to the network's poor performance elsewhere) we believe that we will be seeing more of this show next year.
  • As for CBS, there's no question that "Bloods" and "CSI: NY" are the most-watched shows on Friday night -- but the latter show is costly, and a 1.7 rating may not be enough to keep it around too much longer. As for "A Gifted Man," we're still convinced it's a goner -- it posts the lowest demo rating out of everything on the network's schedule.
  • For Fox, "Kitchen Nightmares" stayed consistent this week as it always does, but "Fringe" continued to hover around its series low 1.1 rating -- if it does get renewed, the best-case scenario we can see for it is a 13-episode final season similar to "Chuck."
  • Finally, "Nikita" hovered around a 0.5 rating on The CW (which keeps it in danger), while "Supernatural" scored a 0.7.
