With a tagline of "No Revivals. No Dead Authors. No Boundaries," Houston mainstay Theatre Under the Stars has an edgy new program that will be turning heads this season. TUTS Underground will begin in the fall of 2013 with four shows across the 2013-2014 season, all new shows with edgy, interesting new music and creating a different theater experience than many are used to. The shows will be performed in the Hobby Center's Zilka Hall, the smaller of the two theaters in the center, creating a much more immersive and intimate experience.

The season will start off with Lizzie, a rock musical based on the story of Lizzie Borden and her subsequent murder trial. Actual lines from the trial transcripts will be used in the show, creating a raw connection with reality while the story of this iconic historical figure is played out on stage. Tickets start as low as $29 and can be purchased at the TUTS Underground website.
