Tuscaloosa man charged with rape, assault of children

Tuscaloosa County, Alabama is located west of Birmingham and is the home of the University of Alabama.

Price was arrested after Tuscaloosa police responded to a domestic violence call in the 2100 block of T.Y. Rogers Jr Avenue at 7:28 a.m. on Christmas morning. Officers found probable cause to arrest Price after making contact with him and an 11-year-old boy, the victim in that case.

After taking him to the Tuscaloosa County Jail, the policemen did some follow-up investigation and found probable cause to charge him with first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree sodomy of a 15 year old girl. He is now confined at the Tuscaloosa County Jail under a total bond of $181,000.

Fredrick Price, 43, faces charges of first-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, first-degree sodomy and third-degree domestic violence assault, said Tuscaloosa police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley.

Price is currently in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a total bond of $181,000. More charges are pending.
