Tuscaloosa man charged with 2nd degree rape

Tuscaloosa, Ala. police spokesman, Sergeant Brent Blankley, announced the arrest of a rape suspect on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at approximately 11:05 a.m. Their report stated that Christopher Quin Price, 26, of Tuscaloosa, has been charged with 3 counts of Rape 2nd degree. The arrest was made on the 1700 block of East McFarland Boulevard. Blankley stated that the parents of the 12 year old victim contacted police investigators last week. According to police the victim in this case was 12 years old when the incident occurred, and the suspect was 25 years old.

Alabama State law defines second-degree rape as someone 16 or older having engaged in sexual intercourse with someone of the opposite sex between 12 and 16, if the suspect is two years older than the victim.

Price is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail, under a $90,000 bond. Investigators expect to file more charges in this case.

Price has a Facebook profile which says he is a sales associate at Buckle, a retail clothing chain featuring designer jeans and related wear with a location in Tuscaloosa.
