Light the Way for a Cure is taking place with various buildings in Chicago, such as the Willis Tower and Wrigley Building, by lighting up the skyline in pink. Some buildings that cannot light up pink bought and are displaying pink Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation flags.
Panera Bread is celebrating by offering their Pink Ribbon Bagel, while other restaurants are participating in In Good Taste, or their own promotion, to raise money for breast cancer research.
Shoppers can also recognize the month by making purchases that will benefit the fight against breast cancer on various items.
Chicagoland’s Susan G. Komen for the Cure is celebrating the month with their new Pink Tie Guys and a Pink Tie Gala.
The American Cancer Society is hosting various walks for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer across the area.
