Many people will be cleaning out closets, garages and attics to make room for newer and updated items they'll get during the upcoming holidays. One person's garbage is another person's treasure. Garage sales and garbage picking may seem creepy and desperate, however, you won't be saying that when you start counting all that currency.
Aside from garbage and garage sales, to find items, you can also go to estate sales. Estate sales are from the families of people who have just passed away. Their families want to sell their items fairly quickly and neatly. You can find lots of gems at estate sales, so go for it. You can also find items to refurbish and sell from storage facility auctions.
The main items you will need are paint and primer, brushes and rollers, drop clothes, hammer, nails, glue and probably a drill. Anything can be turned into a gem with a little cleaning and a new coat of paint. After you turn your item from drab to fab, sell it online on Ebay or Etsy. You can find real great items on these sites.
Selling items consistently adds up. Refurbish a night stand and chair; it's free for you because you took it from the garbage. For a few bucks and a couple of coats of paint, you can sell those free items for $150.00 easy. It's a beautiful thing to make $150.00 in five minutes.
