Meatless Mondays have certainly become a fad. Long before this trend started, however, Executive Chef Vic Casanova of WeHo’s Italian eatery, Gusto, has been placing a creative emphasis on veggies by offering more than just the standard salad or roasted brussels sprouts option and giving veggies a spotlight of their own. Please find below some of Chef Casanova’s modern takes on classic Italian vegetarian options that will have you coming back to Gusto for every day of the week.

Hailed with a glowing review by S. Irene Virbila of the L.A Times shortly after its opening, Gusto has since been met with much critical acclaim, and was the recipient of Esquire Magazines Best New Restaurant Award for 2012. The menu is a collection of Chef Vic Casanova’s bold inventive Italian, incorporating the best ingredients at that moment. At Gusto we pay a great deal of respect to Italian tradition however we are in Los Angeles and are not afraid to push the envelope. The concept is Free-Range Italian.

The wine list represents an intelligent collection of small, artisanal vitners throughout Italy. Presided over by Jessa Casanova the wine list demonstrates our love & commitment to all things Italian. Like the food, the wine list is constantly changing and evolving to offer our guests the very best of Italian wine culture. Gusto seats up to 38 diners in its dining room, and we are centrally located on West 3rd St. between Orlando & La Cienega.
