ERCIS, Turkey – Her rescue is being hailed as nothing less than a miracle after rescue workers pulled a two-week old baby girl from the wreckage of an apartment building two days after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck eastern Turkey, killing hundreds of people.
The baby, named Azra Karaduman was pulled out of her mother’s arms in the rubble by the rescuers. Both the baby’s mother who is 25-years-old and the baby’s grandmother were also rescued and sent to a nearby hospital.

On Monday, five people were rescued that included two children and a man who used his cell phone to lead searches to his location.
According to the Disaster and Emergency Administration, the quake that struck Van province on Sunday afternoon caused 2,262 buildings to collapse. The death toll from the devasting earthquake has not risen to 366, with 1,301 people injured, officials said on Tuesday.
