Tupac Shakur is considered one of the most iconic rappers in history. Even after Tupac Shakur's life ended tragically in 1996 fans were treated to an additional six solo albums. However, MTV News reported on Wednesday, Feb. 20 that there is even more never heard before music to be released to fans soon.
Tupac Shakur's mother, Afeni Shakur, has released his entire estate Jampol Artist Management. According to Afeni she is entrusting Tupac's entire body of work to Jampol Artist Management in order to have his work shared with the public.
In a statement released from the Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation to the public, Afeni acknowledged that she felt it was her responsibility to see that Tupac's work was shared with his fans.
"I believe it is our responsibility to make sure that Tupac's entire body of work is made available for his fans. My son left many incomplete pieces and even more unfinished ideas. Using the blueprints he gave us, I am committed to fulfilling this duty."
Not only can fans expect to hear even more unreleased music from Tupac it appears they can also expect a new film.
According to Jampol Artist Management the executives will oversee licensing, apparel and other ventures in all media pertaining to Tupac Shakur.
"It's our responsibility -- and our privilege -- to ensure that new generations of fans experience the power of Tupac's music, his ideas and his storytelling," Jampol said in a statement.
Tupac Shakur also wrote poetry in addition to penning his own rap lyrics. The entire body of work should definitely provide even more insight into the artist's development into one of the most iconic rappers of all time.
