Samantha “Sami” Isler rose to fame in a Today show kid reporter video contest which was way more clever than any episode of her sitcom 'Sean Saves the World' which according to was canceled on Jan 28, 2014 even before all of the additional ordered episodes were produced.

NBC at least tried to have a funny sitcom (unlike in previous years) but they filled it with stereotypes and not many jokes. Sean Hayes played a gay mid-manager at an internet retailer who managed to have a daughter because everybody knew he was gay except him. Sami Isler played his daughter who was smarter than everyone.

Sean had a best female friend played by Megan Hilty who in one episode trades him in for another gay. Sean has a black friend Echo Kellum who is an underling and doesn't seem to mind that Sean got promoted over him by Sean sleeping with their previous boss. Thomas Lennon played the new crazy boss Ala Michael Scott. Lennon's character had promise but seemed to be tacked onto the show. Linda Lavin played the overprotective mother to Sean. Thomas Lennon's former Reno 911! co star Wendi McLendon-Covey plays the same character in the new series “The Goldbergs”, however with better dialog and more clever situations. NBC recently switched the shows timeslot with “The Michael J. Fox” show and will burn off the last two episodes after the Olympics.

The best thing about this situation is that the show was canceled early and Sami Isler might be able to book another pilot.

Sean Hayes also produces Grimm which, even though a fairy tale, has less stereotypes and more jokes than 'Sean Saves the World'.
