Tulsa Oilers sign players and broadcaster

Four new forwards have been signed to the Tulsa Oilers roster for the upcoming season; Patrick Levesque, Jay Sprague, Addison DeBoer, and Eric Satim.

Levesque, a 6-2, 200 pound, right wing, has played for six different CHL franchises and played 49 games last year for the Mississippi Riverkings after beginning the season with the Quad City Mallards.

"Patrick is a seven year pro who is still young and capable of putting up some big numbers,” said Oilers head coach Bruce Ramsay.

Sprague played in four games with the Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL last season, after spending the previous four years as a member of the Michigan State hockey program.

DeBoer, a product of Colorado College, spent the summer in the Australian Ice Hockey League with the Canberra Knights. In his first season down under, DeBoer led the AIHL in scoring with 32 goals and 53 assists in just 28 games.

Satim, a rookie, comes to the Oilers from Division-III SUNY-Plattsburgh where he led the Cardinals in scoring for the 2010-2011 season.

"Eric is a skilled player who put up outstanding numbers in college," said Bruce Ramsay. "He’s going to come in and have a chance to earn a spot as a top two line player."

The Oilers also announced Rob Loeber has been named the team’s new broadcaster and director of media relations.

Loeber has previously worked as a sports photographer, reporter, and anchor at FOX23 News. He also has had the play-by-play duties in the past for the men’s and women’s basketball teams at Oral Roberts University and has spent two years as a high school sports correspondent for Maxpreps.com.

The Oilers will open their home schedule October 28, against the Wichita Thunder, at the BOK Center.
