Jeff Meyer, co-founder of Tuff-N-Uff, announced that Sifu Joseph Solis, a martial arts Masters Hall of Fame inductee, will host the nation’s premier amateur mixed martial arts in Oahu Hawaii in September. “Martial arts fans know that Hawaii has long been a hotbed for the sport of MMA, both in terms of producing great fighters, as well as rabid fans,” Meyer said. “We are very proud of the reputation we’ve established at Tuff-N-Uff, and we’re incredibly excited to announce that Sifu Joseph Solis will help to bring our brand to the Hawaiian Islands.”
Potential host sites are hoped to be Oahu’s Neal S. Blaisdell Center or FilCom Center. Solis owns and is head trainer at Hawaiian Fighting Arts Gym. Solis produces kickboxers and mixed martial artist both amateur and professional including athletes who have previously competed for Tuff-N-Uff. Solis has gyms located in Oahu, Los Angeles, American Samoa and Murrieta, Calif. Solis is ranked a 7th degree black belt master who served as a matchmaker for Alabama’s Combat Sports Elite and Kansas City’s Warfare Extreme organizations.
