The mercury hit the single digits yesterday evening but actually warmed in the overnight hours thanks to downslope winds. We will see continued improvement in temperatures but with some more clouds above.
For the Denver area temperatures may vary quite a bit from location to location just like they did yesterday. Much will depend on how much mixing we can get and how big of an impact lower areas with colder air feel.
Generally look for highs today in town to be near the 50 degree mark. We will see some increased cloud cover. Breezy winds will start the day but those should ease as the day progresses.
Up in the high country, it will be generally warmer as well with most popular locations seeing highs above freezing. Winds will be a bit stronger there. Tonight some light snow will be possible at higher elevations.
For the balance of the week we expect a relatively seasonal period in town. Highs will be near or a bit above normal into the weekend. We still see a slight chance for snow on Sunday.
Mountain areas can expect intermittent chances for snow on most days but not anything extraordinary.
