If you love fine western art and thought you couldn't afford a piece for your home, think again. Settler's West Gallery is having their miniatures sale on February 11th, 2012. The show is called American Miniatures. The reception is 5:30 with the drawing at 7pm.
How the Drawing Works
At the gallery you will find that each painting has a corresponding box and a number. If a person wishes to buy number 151, for example, then they will put a slip with their name in the 151 box. If, at 7pm the gallery draws their name out of that box they have bought the painting at the price indicated next to the painting. Some boxes have 50 names, some one, but this is the fairest method they have found to accommodate all who might want that piece.
You do not have to be in the room to be in the draw as many who cannot attend also submit bids.
