Actors Stanley Tucci, Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Bill Nighy, John Kassir, Mingus Johnston, Eddie Marsan and Ewen Bremner joined their director Bryan Singer to celebrate the premiere of their new film, New Line Cinema's “Jack the Giant Slayer” at the TCL Chinese Theatre on February 26, 2013 in Hollywood, California.
All eyes were on actress Eleanor Tomlinson in her stunning bronze lamé gown which features a plunging V-neckline and an interesting detailing at the bodice and hemline. Nicholas Hoult looked dapper in his slate blue suit that was reportedly by designer Tom Ford, while costar Mingus Johnston showed up in his sexy kilt!
For those of us familiar with the old fairytale “Jack and the Bean Stalk,” the title of this film should be self-explanatory. However, a summary from IMDb has an interesting talk on this standard: “The ancient war between humans and a race of giants is reignited when Jack, a young farmhand fighting for a kingdom and the love of a princess, opens a gateway between the two worlds.”
The impressive cast also includes Ewan McGregor and Ian McShane (yes Lovejoy himself!), so it’s worthwhile seeing the update this old standard gets…
Attending the Jack the Giant Slayer premiere in style were actors Anthony LaPaglia and wife Gia Carides in her little LBD (little black dress), Michelle Clunie in her cobalt blue sheath, Patrick Stewart, Michael Dorn, Matthew Morrison, J. C. Chasez and his lady guest in her LBD, David Furnish (Elton John’s partner), Felicity Blunt in her LBD, attending with husband Tucci, composer John Ottman, and Jack the Giant Slayer writers Darren Lemke and Dan Studney.
