The USDA has proclaimed September 2011 to be Ethnic Foods Month. Nashville is the home to many restaurants celebrating our diverse culture. During the next two weeks, let Examiner guide you to different places to eat and learn.
The rules to “Restaurant Examiner's Celebrate Ethnic Foods Month”
- Restaurants listed will be in and around Nashville.
- As many different locations as possible will be highlighted.
- An ethnic restaurant will be listed only if there are three or more in town, or if it can easily be grouped together with another set of restaurants.
- A different list will be published each day.
- And most important, leave a comment if there is a great placed that has been missed.
Latin food
Obviously this category fits well in rule #3, as the restaurants here do not conform to a one-size-fits-all category. These restaurants represent several different Latin countries – Peru, El Salvador, Cuba plus one that grabs them all – but what you can be assured of, these are not Mexican. So go prepared to try something new and fun
