Try a short course in ceramics with Pot Shots

ClayWays, a ceramics studio on Burnet road, offers a few hour, one day class to give students a taste of ceramics. Instead of committing $300 and 3 hours a week for six weeks, students can take a cheap (around $30) short course that offers a chance to try the medium without a large commitment.

The classes offered include wheel throwing and hand building. The next class offered on February 20 from 4:30 to 7:00 will focus on whistle building and will cost $36. The instruction, clay, and firing are included in the cost.

Other course topics include hand building of trays, and several courses for wheel throwing. Some of the courses are open for adults and children, but some classes are limited adults only.

ClayWays also offers eight-week classes in wheel-throwing and hand building. The ceramics studio also offers birthday parties for children.
