Beignets are a favorite treat in New Orleans. The most famous spot to eat these in New Orleans is Cafe du Monde where they serve these hot and powdered with Cafe du Monde coffee.

I find these beignet mixes at a few local stores including Central Market. In a few easy steps, you can enjoy these at home.

Cafe Du Monde Box Mix

2 Cups of Mix

7 oz. of water

Heat up oil for frying. Mix the dry mix with 7 oz. of water and roll out on floured surface.

Divide into 4 sections, adding a little flour if it's too sticky. Roll out each section as you need it,

and cut it into squares or any shape you prefer. Drop into hot oil until brown on each side.

Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with coffee and enjoy!
