Purchase an Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich at a local Dunkin' Donuts this week and help eliminate hunger in America.
According to the Dunkin' Donuts website, for every Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich (up to 750,000) purchased between March 3 and March 9, 2014, America’s Egg Farmers will donate one egg to Feeding America.
The promotion is part of America’s egg farmers’ Good Egg Project, an initiative working to end hunger in America.
America's egg farmers donate approximately 12 million eggs per year to local food banks and charities, according to the Incredible Egg website.
The Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich is a recent addition to a growing number of Dunkin' Donuts' breakfast sandwiches. This grab-and-go version of the classic breakfast meal consists of Black Forest ham, egg and Hollandaise sauce on a toasted English muffin.
“Guests love the taste and familiarity of sit down classics, paired with the convenience of being able to eat on-the-go. We hope the Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich will be a big hit with our guests,” Stan Frankenthaler, Executive Chef and Vice President of Global Product Innovation at Dunkin’ Brands told Public Relations and Social Media Manager, Heather McIntyre. The interview can be found on the Dunkin’ Donuts website.
According to Chef Frankenthaler, the Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation has partnered with Feeding America since 2007.
“We are really looking forward to using this exciting new product offering to help fight hunger across America,” he said.
Pricing and availability of the Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich vary across Central New Jersey.
