Taking On the Divine Nature of God
Instead of being a dissertation embedded in shadowy understandings of doctrines, I want to mention something that I am sure many people have noticed. Namely that Yeshua (Jesus) Could seem harsh, beating money changers with a whip, or overly direct, telling certain arrogant leaders that they were like a burial container, looking whitewashed on the outside but inside full of dead men bones; yet there is something that we don’t see. We don’t see him putting down every prostitute and sinner he met. Sure if someone was bold enough to speak up for evil, he put them in there place doctrinally. He did not separate himself form ordinary folk. He seems not to care about denominations, just the truth. I find it disconcerting that professed Christians who suppose to have his Spirit, learn a little something and all of a sudden they are almost the second coming. Every other group that they may conclude got something wrong or misunderstand a thing is going to hell. (If you haven’t heard my audio about hell go here)
The Apostle Paul saw this arrogant puffed-upness happening with the Corinthian Christians. We are better than you. Our leader is better than yours. Or we are holier than you. In fact you are probably headed to hell because you don’t even know how to pronounce the name of God. Let’s look at First Corinthians Chapter 1.
10 ¶ Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
11 For it has been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.
12 Now this I say, that every one of you says, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?
Notice verse 10 says we should be perfectly joined together in the same mind or judgment. Yes Judgment. Remember it is written that the righteous judges all things. How can that be? Because those doing right do not make the judgment themselves, they simply report what God has said. If that is done all judgment is the same and is of God and not ourselves. Those that disagree with God are the ones personally judging.
Notice my friends, the Jews had long since stopped writing the name of God in most cases in scripture. They used the word Adoni for a regular lord and Adonai when speaking of YHVH or Yeshua in Scriptures. Research (Psalms 110:1) and (Matt 22:44) concerning this matter, you might find out why Jesus really used the passage as a proof Scripture of who Messiah is. My point is that Yeshua (Jesus) knew all this but did he make it his main message that if you don’t pronounce the name exactly right you are not saved? No. So, where does that place this doctrine in Yeshua’s mind; if you make it your main doctrine for salvation? Besides Scripture pictures a name of Christ that it says no man knew but he himself. I know a lot of good people who think they know. Scripture also says that God will commission a pure language that all can call upon him with one consent. This indicates that this is not the case now.
Does this mean that you don’t share what you have learned? No! Put it in its proper perspective as scripture shows will be the outcome. Let’s remember that there is only one way that all men will know real Christians. “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:35) This love does not mean that you let every one believe what they want without informing them. It is written, “You shall not hate thy brother in your heart: thou shall in any wise rebuke thy neighbor, and not suffer sin upon him.” True love would have your neighbor or brethren to be right about everything. Here is the problem, you don’t know everything. Yet you know if your heart is set to do all you know of God. Know this also, it is not always easy to tell when someone else’s is not trying their best. If you assign them as someone not saved because of what they don’t completely understand, what will God do to you? He will then judge you too by what you don’t know; because with what you measure others different from God’s judgments will be measures back to you again.
No one is saved because they know everything and does everything on their own right. Grace works for them when they fully seek to know the truth without error and to do the truth without error; whither they get it all right or not. They know that God has it all right and the rest of us are trying to grow up to be just like him. No one is righteous if they only want to get some things right. This is what will condemn anyone, when that light that comes into the world is available and clear and you PERFER the darkness. That is why we inform our friends, neighbors, politicians and fellow professed Christians what God’s judgment is without adding our own thoughts. We know that it is certain that the very words we inform others of will judge us all at the proper time.
