“Indeed, my spirit within me seeks You diligently; For when the earth experiences Your judgments the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness." Isaiah 29:13

The title of this chapter in Isaiah is Song of Trust in God’s protection. Going through difficult times is not easy. There are times when we have to learn lessons the hard way.

We may not understand it at the time but we must trust in God no matter what. We must remember that God’s timing is perfect and ours is not. This verse states that the world learns righteousness when they experience God’s judgments. The difficult times as hard as they are, are the times that we are learning and growing the most in Christ. The rough circumstances we are in now may be preparing us for an even greater challenge that lies ahead.

What is key in our relationship with Christ is that we trust Him even when it seems impossible or we do not seem to understand. For we know that ultimately, our hope is in Him and not our situation or circumstance. We also know that He has a plan. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Remember to trust in God no matter what the circumstance.
