“He promised me $5 million for charity if I provided certain information. Well, I provided the information, he didn’t pay. So today I sue Bill Maher for $5 million for charity.”
So said Donald Trump, BTV's #1 most wanted fauxlebrity and #2 most wanted political know-nothing, today on "Fox & Friends."
While appearing as a guest on "The Tonight Show," Bill Maher pointed out that the color of Donald Trump's hair and that of an orange orangutan are "the only two things in nature" of that color, suggesting that Trump might possibly have been the result of his mother having sexual relations with an orangutan.
Maher, in an obvious parody of Trump's own "major announcement" to Barack Obama in October of 2012, then pledged five million dollars to a charity of Trump's choice if he could provide evidence to the contrary.
Trump responded by providing his birth certificate and instructing Maher to send five million dollars to himself to distribute personally to the charities of his choice.
"I don’t think he was joking," Trump added. "He said it with venom. That was venom. That wasn’t a joke. In fact he was nervous when he said it. It was a pathetic delivery, but he said, 'I will give' and I said I will accept, so let’s see what happens."
Ignoring the fact that nothing Bill Maher says is meant to be taken seriously, Trump actually has failed to provide the desired proof that Maher required. Trump only provided a birth certificate, which only lists his father, Fred Trump, as being credited with fathering Donald Trump.
For Trump to truly provide insurmountable proof that the rumors are false, he would need to submit to a DNA test.
Even if there were some legitimacy to Trump's claim of legal action, Maher should not feel any need to worry. Trump also threatened, multiple times, to sue Rosie O'Donnell and has yet to do so.
