Donald Trump still demands the $5 million that Bill Maher said he would pay to any charity of his choice on "Tonight Show with Jay Leno" Monday night if he showed his birth certificate. Trump did just that and now he's wants the comedian to follow through!
Trump tweeted Jan. 10:
"I hope @billmaher comes through with his $5 million offer, which I fully accepted, or I will be forced to sue him. All goes to charity!"
On Monday, Maher joked that he would put $5 million towards a men's hair care club and other sarcastic comments. He was one of many celebrities who mocked Trump for proposing a $5 million donation to President Obama if he just showed his birth certificate, college transcripts, and passport records that prove he's an American citizen. He probably didn't think the savvy businessman would take him seriously.
On Tuesday Trump's attorney sent a copy of his New York birth certificate along with a letter that can be read here. It states he's not the offspring of an orangutan and lists the charities he wants Maher to pay money to. Clearly, Trump and his people are taking this whole matter seriously and demand the $5 million Maher publicly proposed.
So far Bill Maher hasn't forked over the millions to Trump. Will this be on an ongoing feud or will Maher put in his donation? He hasn't responded on Twitter about the incident whatsoever.
