When Donald Trump slams Jon Stewart, you know he’s going to have hell to pay on “The Daily Show.” According to a May 3 report by E! Online, Trump thinks that Jon is a chump for changing his name from Jonathan Leibowitz to Jon Stewart, but it turned out to be a bad idea for Donald to bring up the name change on Twitter.
The Donald recently tweeted, “I promise you that I'm much smarter than Jonathan Leibowitz - I mean Jon Stewart @TheDailyShow. Who, by the way, is totally overrated.” Keep in mind that Trump is a “birther,” and it’s extremely hard to take him seriously with that hair. He probably also thought he was being funny by referring to Jon by his birth name.
Since Donald Trump felt the need to reference Jon Stewart’s birth name, the comedian decided to fight back by revealing The Donald’s birth name: “F--kface Von Clownstick.” Unfortunately for “The Apprentice” star, the internet immediately fell in love with this moniker. But of course Donald wasn’t so thrilled about all the Twitter love his “real” name was getting. He responded by tweeting, “Amazing how the haters & losers keep tweeting the name 'F**kface Von Clownstick' like they are so original & like no one else is doing it...”
But the Donald just wasn’t satisfied with that clever comeback. He went on to address the issue of Jon’s name change once again. He wrote, “What's funny about the name 'F**kface Von Clownstick' -- it was not coined by Jon Leibowitz-- he stole it from some moron on twitter. If Jon Stewart is so above it all & legit, why did he change his name from Jonathan Leibowitz? He should be proud of his heritage!”
However, Jon has never shied away from bringing up his Jewish heritage on “The Daily Show” -- he does it all the time. There are also reports that Jon might have changed his name because of a strained relationship with his physicist father. Whatever the real reason behind the decision may be, it's obvious to any Stewart fan that it had nothing to do with Jon being ashamed of being Jewish. However, because of the name change, day-glo orange Donald has now labeled the fake news show host a “phony.” So apparently Natalie Portman, Kirk Douglas, Audrey Hepburn, Larry King, Winona Ryder, Joan Rivers, Bruce Willis, Demi Moore, Sigourney Weaver, Katy Perry, and Republican hero Chuck Norris are all “phonies,” too. And the list of celebrities who have changed their names is a lot longer than that.
So do you think that it's fair to call Jon out for changing his name, or should "F**kface Von Clownstick" focus on finding something more productive to do with the tons of time that he spends on Twitter?
