While New Yorkers join the ongoing Fabergé’s egg hunt, Trump International Hotel & Tower® New York is coloring the event with a family-friendly Big Egg Hunt Package. Following in the heels of its 2012 success in London, more than 250 egg sculptures, each individually created by leading artists and designers are being tactically displayed throughout New York City’s five boroughs as visitors and locals contend to spot as many as they can in hopes of winning a coveted Fabergé gemstone prize.
Trump New York is also be participating in the hunt by hosting three of the custom designed eggs on property – the most of any hotel partner in the city—that includes:
- A golden textured egg commissioned by acclaimed fashion designer Naeem Khan
- A simplistic and modern “cracked egg” creation from West Coast interior designer Rachel Waldron
- A propitiously a money-themed egg sculpture by artist Minyan Huang
The Big Egg Hunt Package comes with deluxe accommodations, highlighted by floor-to-ceiling windows, a full European-style kitchen with Sub-Zero appliances; a turndown amenity and a do-it-yourself gold-egg-making-kit.
The Big Egg Hunt is a creative and fun fundraising initiative sponsored by Fabergé that supports both NYC school children through Studio in a School and international conservation efforts with Elephant Family – an organization aimed at protecting the endangered Asian elephant and its habitat. Contestants try to locate as many eggs as possible and check in using the QR codes posted alongside the statues. At the close of the event, the highly collectable sculptures designed by the likes of Diane von Furstenberg, Bruce Weber, Carolina Herrera, Jacques Torres and William Wegman will each be auctioned by Sotheby’s with 100% of the proceeds going back into the spotlighted charities.
Reservations for the Big Egg Hunt Package are available now through April 24 for guests traveling through April 26, 2014. For rates and additional information click here or call 1-888-448-7867.
