Recently, Casa Nonna hosted a truffle tasting for an intimate crowd at its Midtown location. There were a number of different stations that guests could check out relating to the truffle theme. At one station, Executive Chef Julio Genao showed the crowd how to make the perfect ricotta gnocchi topped off with truffles; another table featured Truffled Fontina Fondutta with pieces of bread and small potatoes for dipping. There was even a station with a cocktail called Truffled Apple-Teani that guests could sample.
Throughout the evening, slices of white truffle and black truffle pizza were passed around along with truffle-flavored pastas and glasses of red and white wine. For truffle lovers, this was the perfect way to sample a variety of savory treats. Lastly, the evening was topped off with truffle-themed desserts that included Truffled Mascarpone Cannoli and Chocolate Truffles. What a delightful evening filled with memorable tastings!
