True the Vote seeks volunteers

Monday December 2, 2013 True the vote had their monthly meeting to bring membership up to date on Voter ID issues and to recruit volunteers for the many election related duties citizens can and should participate in if at all able.

The meeting was led by True the Votes’ Erin Anderson. Erin did a great job of conducting the meeting despite the crowd of fewer than 30 attendees. Logan Churchwell addressed the members with the latest updates on Voter ID related law suits and True the Votes on going law suit against the I.R.S. Both Erin and Logan presented voting related issues that are of extreme importance to all Americans’ yet in a city metroplex of well over 5 million people only less than 30 regulars and a few newbie’s bothered to attend.

Half a century ago with no internet citizens still managed to do their patriotic duty and be informed about who they were voting for. Back then for the most part we collectively were more honorable citizens and voter fraud wasn’t as prevalent. But sadly via apathy, corruption, and plain old ignorance we have collectively become a lesser citizen than the once number one in the exceptionalism category. The importance of the work that groups like True the Vote is vital to restoring exceptionlism to the American image. We can’t be the once envy of the world because we led the world in nearly all categories of measurement. Categories like morality, productivity, technology, education, and ethics. But now there is no doubt that voter fraud exist as evident by the number of voter fraud convictions. To not have an election process that is near devoid of fraud and less than ethical tactics tears away at the fabric that makes America the great country it is.

The systemic problem of patriotic apathy was reflected in the low attendance of this meeting that sought to recruit volunteers to man polling locations in various capacities like poll watchers, which are at the polls to not allow any illegal activity to occur. Along with poll workers, True the Vote seek volunteers to do critically important jobs like search voter data bases at their own convenience at home on their computers. This is done by registering at the True the Vote site which will get you a user name and password to access data bases such as those that contain voters’ registration cards, which have been the source of proof of many voter fraud cases. Just think you could be the one that stumbles on the big case that goes viral in the media, if only you invest a little of your time in the country you call home.

Volunteers are also need to register voters who are not registered and to assist those who are registered to editing their voters’ registration if needed. True the Vote is also training their volunteers in the recent voter ID laws and issues that stem from the changes incurred since the addition of picture ID being required to vote became law in Texas.

True the Vote is an organization that seeks nothing more than restoring integrity to our voting process but all their great intentions are mute without, “We the People,” doing our part and participating in the process as opposed to sitting back and watching, as our country deteriorates. It isn’t the job of government to fix all our issues, it is up to we the patriots to not only fix government but also our destiny. It is up to each individual to choose to be the exceptional patriot asset or the apathetic liability.
